For solo pool techs: join the waitlist
We are considering a simple iPhone app for solo pool service techs: your route, readings, exact doses, and a photo report for each client, at one flat monthly price with no per-pool fees. It does not exist yet. If you would use it, join the waitlist and tell us what you need.
What it would do
The idea is a tool that a one-person route actually uses at the pool, not office software squeezed onto a phone:
- Today's route in the order you drive it, with gate codes and notes for each stop.
- Fast readings entry for FC, pH, TA, CYA, CH, and salt, from strips or a drop kit, in a few taps with wet hands.
- Exact doses for each pool's gallons and the products on your truck, from the same chemistry engine behind the calculators on this site. Works for pools and hot tubs.
- Photo report for the client: before-and-after photos, readings, and what you added, sent as a PDF or link from your phone.
- History per pool, so you can spot rising CYA or a weakening salt cell before the customer calls.
- Works offline in backyards with no signal, and syncs later.
Flat price, locked for 24 months
Per-pool pricing means your software bill grows every time you add a customer. We want the opposite: one flat monthly price for unlimited pools, and for waitlist members that price locked for 24 months from the day you subscribe.
No setup fees, no add-on bundles, and you can cancel anytime in your Apple account settings, like any App Store subscription.
What we won't build
We want to be clear about scope. This would be for one person with one truck. It would not include:
- invoicing, card payments, autopay, or accounting sync;
- crew dispatch, payroll, or time tracking for employees;
- a customer portal, marketing tools, or an AI phone line;
- an Android version, at least at first. It would be iPhone only.
If billing is the main reason you pay for route software today, this probably is not your tool, and we would rather tell you now. If readings, doses, and reports are what you use it for, and a bigger platform such as Skimmer feels like more than you need, we would like to hear from you.
Waitlist form (3 questions)
Three questions, under a minute:
- How many pools do you service in a typical week?
- What do you use today to log readings and send reports, and what do you pay for it per month?
- What is the one feature that would make you switch?
To join the waitlist, email [email protected] with the subject "Pooldex Pro waitlist". We use your address only to tell you when Pro opens.
We will email you only about this app: when it is ready to test, and the locked price. Until then, the Pooldex app for pool owners is where our chemistry work goes first. Who we are and how we check our numbers are on the about page, and the rest of the site starts at the home page.
